ABEYUKA. Solo Exhibition “I am an Alien!”

“I am an Alien!” means “I am a foreigner.” We are all foreigners in one way or another. Daily life as a foreigner, the world seen from a “foreigner’s point of view,” love and feelings for one’s own country that unexpectedly grows stronger. The privilege and uncomfortableness of being treated as a “foreigner.” Questions about one’s own identity. The difference between what you see from the inside and what the world looks like from the outside. This exhibition presents the funny and humorous aspects of the world from a foreigner’s, a Japanese’s, or an alien’s (earthling’s) perspective.
