Social Media Policy

THE ROYAL HOTEL, LIMITED and RIHGA Royal Hotels (hereinafter collectively, the « Company ») sets forth the following policy to operate the Company’s official accounts on social media (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, etc.):

  1. Operation Policy
  2. The Company operates official accounts for the purpose of transmitting information pertaining to the Company’s products and services, and promotional activities.

  3. Scope of Application
  4. The Policy shall apply to the Company’s official accounts and users who have viewed or used the official accounts (hereinafter, the « Users »). The Users who viewed or used the official accounts are deemed to have agreed to the Policy.

  5. Prohibitions
  6. In this section, actions considered prohibited on official accounts are documented. Any posts or comments which correspond to the below prohibited acts may be deleted at the discretion of the Company and the account of the relevant User may be blocked. In such case(s), the Company shall not notify the relevant User(s) of the deletion or the block.

    (1) Acts that interfere with the operation of official accounts;
    (2) Acts that violate laws and regulations, and public order and morals;
    (3) Acts that infringe on the human rights and privacy of the Users and/or the Company’s employees;
    (4) Acts that infringe on trademark rights and copyrights of others and/or the Company; or
    (5) Other acts that the Company deems inappropriate.

  7. Disclaimer
  8. (1) The operation of the official accounts may be changed in content or terminated without prior notice. When the content is changed, the content after the change shall be solely valid and effective, and the content before the change shall be null and void.
    (2) The Company shall not accept any responsibility for any damage incurred by the Users in relation to the change or termination of the operation of the official accounts or other use of the official accounts.
    (3) The Company does not guarantee the accuracy or validity of the information provided on the official accounts.

  9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
  10. The Policy shall be governed by, and construed and applied in accordance with the laws of Japan. With respect to disputes arising from the use of social media, the Osaka District Court shall be the exclusive court of jurisdiction for the first instance.

  11. Inquiries and Replies, etc.
  12. As a general rule, the Company shall not respond to inquiries or send replies via social media.
