Since ancient times, Japan has nurtured a wide variety of motifs believed to bring good fortune, each passed down through generations.
In the Kansai region, where many temples and shrines stretch along the railway line from Osaka to Kyoto, the sacred creatures enshrined as divine messengers have long been regarded with familiarity—almost like friendly characters living among people.
Drawing these auspicious motifs in lines and forms conveys a gentle yet uplifting energy.
This exhibition invites guests to experience that sense of positive spirit, with the hope that it may bring warmth and good fortune to their everyday lives.
