Room #3431 | Completion Date: 2025.09
From this room, you can enjoy a front-row view of the summer fireworks festival.
For many Japanese people, fireworks are a special summer event that offers a taste of
the extraordinary.
I still remember vividly the fireworks I saw as a child, and even now as an adult, the same
sense of excitement comes back to me, accompanied by a feeling of nostalgia.
In this room, I sought to recreate that uplifting atmosphere, allowing guests to
experience it throughout the entire space, starting from the hallway.
Even if only for a brief moment, I hope you can leave your daily life behind and spend
a heart-stirring time immersed in this space.
Born in Tokyo, graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies with a degree in
English, and studied abroad at the University of British Columbia in Canada.
Ayaïro’s work explores the theme of “memories evoked by landscapes,” depicting
scenes of Japan that carry a sense of nostalgia, layered with her own memories and emotions. Through bold black contours and vivid colors, she brings forth fragmented yet concrete recollections from the past onto the canvas.
She makes it a point to visit the landscapes she paints, using the memories, emotions, and stories that arise there as the starting point of her creative process. While tracing the origins of her own memory, she also seeks to create universal inner landscapes—spaces in which viewers may overlay their own experiences and recollections.
