The “Spring of Prism Go Ogawa Exhibition” will be held as the 20th ART Colours Exhibition celebrating Japan’s four seasons in art.
The artist, impressed by the images of the galaxy captured by the Hubble Space Telescope, produces natural phenomena of light experienced in everyday life such as rainbows and water surface reflections with flat works, as well as 3D works and installations combining polarizing film and various materials. Here, using the diffuse reflection of soft spring light, he expresses the fascinating light of a prism in the hotel atrium space.
At the exhibition venue on the 25th floor, you can feel the light of spring pouring in through the glass ceiling, and enjoy original dessert and cocktail that perfectly complement the works on exhibit at the ART Lounge. In the evening, a powerful image with the exhibition works as motif will be projected on a wall 30 meters in height. And at the new exhibition venue on the 31st floor, works are displayed everywhere in the corridor surrounding the atrium’s space. You can take in the works at your leisure while walking around the Artist Floor. Daytime and nighttime, in the two venues above and below, please enjoy these works of light that change every moment.
In this season when all things shine brightly, an exhibition of artworks including a new work, “Shunko” (Spring Light), well suited to this exhibition, starts from the day of the spring equinox. Authored the book, Perfect Martini. His whisky cocktails are regularly featured in the worldwide circulated Whisky Magazine.
