TELEPORT PAINTINGS

Mitsumasa Kadota Art Exhibition

Mitsumasa Kadota – TELEPORT PAINTINGS – Art Exhibition will be held as the 27th exhibition of ART colours which celebrates the four seasons of Japan with arts.

In this season, from 2018 crossing over to 2019, art exhibition of powerful artworks that is worthy of crossing over time and space to welcome a new year filled with hope will color Park Hotel Tokyo. In the modern art scene, artist Mitsumasa Kadota has pursued the possibilities of expression through color and brush strokes, much like philosophers or investigators. In recent years, he has garnered increasing attention, and his works have been taken into possession by the Sezon Museum of Modern Art. The miraculous power of the colors and brush strokes resounding with each other like magic will shower us with a sense of bright festivity of the passing of winter and the arrival of spring.

How about embarking on a journey towards a new future by paintings entitled “TELEPORT PAINTINGS”, that have leaped over all existing frameworks and limits?

Message from the artist
For example, just as spring arrives after winter, just like praying for our hopes as we greet the new year, by leaping over those frameworks and limits, colors and paints are reborn as paintings. I would like to meet the possibilities of expressions resembling scenes that cannot be seen any way other than by leaping over boundaries.

I have poured my feelings, desires, and thoughts into the words “TELEPORT PAINTINGS”, of wanting to make use of Japan’s unique position in art, as well as geographical and historical differences, as springs to gain new perspectives, and fly even further towards the past and future, crossing over time and space in pursuit of freedom.

In this exhibition, pieces of various sizes and styles will be exhibited, from pieces that were created in recent years, to new series which were recently developed through adding on to previous unfinished works to give them new value.

I hope that you will enjoy the swaying and resounding colors and brush strokes together with the changing seasons.
